Liquid (or fluid) acts as a heat transfer medium and absorbs heat at source. It is then transported through a line or pipe to a dry cooler. There, heat is extracted from the liquid, the medium cools and is reintroduced into the loop. The heat transfer medium circulates in its own, mostly closed loop.
