The MPI™ family uses a reverse double sleeve design to provide a safe, sealed, leak-free connection for small diameter instrument applications up to 15,000 PSI operating pressure.
The MPI™ connector is a reverse double sleeve connector. They are designed and manufactured to provide safe, robust, leak-proof connections for the entire industry, including offshore oil and gas development platforms, research laboratories, and other facilities with operating pressures ranging from 6,000 to 15,000 psi.
Ideal for handling fluids, gases or chemicals, MPI™ joints can be used in a variety of tubing including cold-drawn -1/8 hard (Annealed) stainless steel tubing, Annealed 2507 seamless steel tubing or meter thin-wall annealed stainless steel. Each MPI™ connector is an integrated kit that can be assembled.
Market:
• At sea
• Oil and gas
• Chemical industry
• Fossilization
• Electricity
• Research institute
Features/Advantages:
• The corrosion resistant Pike Suparcase® treated front sleeve creates a seal between the pipe, joint body and sleeve. It also provides a mechanical hold on the tube.
• The corrosion-resistant Pike Suparcase® treated rear clamp provides strong mechanical retention on the tube.
• Longer thread area with improved resistance to pressure and load.
• Molybdenum disulfide coated reverse nuts that help prevent wear and tear, provide easy assembly and allow for reuse.
• Long pipe support area to improve shock resistance and line load.
Application:
• Offshore craft tray
• Chemical injection
• Wellhead control panel
• high-pressure tank
