 An example of this might be the introduction of a positive pressure sample gas into a vacuum chamber. Downstream of the chamber will be the SBPR and vacuum pump. The positive pressure will build up in the chamber, causing the SBPR to open and return the chamber to the desired vacuum. Then the SBPR will close and the process will repeat. The large diameter diaphragm assisted by a vacuum auxiliary spring provides the user with excellent negative pressure control sensitivity.
