Our pumps cover pressure ranges from 10-3 to ≤ 10-11 mbar.
It works by binding gaseous material to a cold surface in the pump by low temperature condensation, low temperature adsorption, or low temperature trapping.
The cryogenic pump has no mechanical motion, oil or grease lubricated parts on the vacuum side.
In order to produce a high or ultra-high vacuum, the cold surface/cryogenic plate must be cooled to a sufficiently low temperature. They are cooled by Leybold's fully proven, highly reliable or dual chillers from the COOLPOWER i series (Gifford/McMahon Principle).
