There are two types of digital servo drivers. The AX2000 series servo drivers are powerful and have A high current rating of 70/80 A. The AX2500 series servo drivers are modular extensions ideal for tight space applications with A maximum current rating of 6 A. The software for both families of servo drives is fully compatible and integrated into the TwinCAT control software.
Servo drive AX2000
The standard servo driver AX2000 provides 6 current ratings. Its feed incorporates an interference suppression filter that can be operated directly from the AX2020 and below series power supply main loop, as if the 24 V auxiliary power supply were connected to the filter. Digital servo drive has many very convenient functions. They include an adjustable set point slope, a 2-point analog monitor input, a 4-point programmable digital output (two of which are defined as standard and limit switch inputs), and a 2-point digital output. Integration security has received sufficient attention. In servo-drives, electrical safety isolation between the power supply and the motor interface complies with EN 50178. The electronic signal is obtained by an appropriate "miss" path and complete potential isolation. Other integrated features include smooth start, overvoltage detection, short circuit protection and phase loss monitoring.
Servo drive AX2500
The AX2500 family is integrated into the Beckhoff Modular drive solution, further expanding the AX2000 servo-drive product line. The software for the AX2500 servo drive and AX2000 drive is fully compatible to achieve large output in a small space. The large configuration of a multi-axis system is an 8-axis system, which is a main module with a 7-axis expansion module. A power module consists of a power supply, a power filter for the power supply and auxiliary voltage, a ballast circuit and a ballast resistor, and a power output, which can also be operated separately. Subsequent shaft expansion modules can be simply plugged into the main module and connected to the intermediate DC circuit via a pin bank.
