SIKA VVX is used for water flow measurement in low and medium ranges.
It is used, for example, in heating technology.
Behind the encircling blunt body, there are vortices that rotate against each other and cancel each other out. The eddies separate at the edge of the blunt body and form Karman vortex street in the flow. The distance between the vortices is constant. The frequency of eddy flow through the sensor depends on and is proportional to the velocity. Sensors detect eddy currents and convert them into electrical frequency signals.
