TIEFENBACH's proximity switch covers a similar range of applications as the electromagnetic switch. However, they are based on completely different switching principles. Proximity switches are inductive devices that use an oscillator. So it doesn't need a magnet to go through to trigger the switch action. The proximity of metal objects is sufficient to produce a logical variation between high and low output values. Proximity switches extend the application range of electromagnetic switches.
