 Inductive sensors are robust and highly reliable, making them an excellent choice for non-contact detection of metal targets up to 65 mm away. Vacuum-enclosed electronics and metal enclosures protect against shock, vibration, dust, dirt and moisture, making inductive sensors ideal for demanding conditions. The magnetic field generated by an inductive sensor is attenuated by a metal target. As the sensor approaches its target, the sensing circuit detects the degree of attenuation and switches the output accordingly.
